Die Johannes Gutenberg-Universität Mainz (JGU) ist stolz darauf, Teil des interdisziplinären Netzwerks des Promotionsprogramm in Sportethik und Integrität (DAiSI) zu sein, das sich aus fünf angesehenen Universitäten sowie international führenden Sportorganisationen und -verbänden zusammensetzt. Das mit 4 Millionen Euro geförderte Promotionsprogramm bietet 14 Doktoranden*innen von 2023-2027 die Möglichkeit einer umfassenden und interdisziplinären Ausbildung in einem renommierten internationalen Netzwerk. Das Bewerbungsverfahren startet am 18. August.
Ebenso vielfältig wie die Partner des Promotionsprogramms sind auch die Forschungsbereiche der 14 Doktorarbeiten (siehe Anhang). Hierzu gehören unter anderem Doping, Wettkampfmanipulation, Korruption, Datenschutz, sexuelle Belästigung und Missbrauch gehören Betrug, Doping, Spielabsprachen, Datenschutz, Reputation und Integritätsmanagement.

DAiSI ist ein Promotionsprogramm in Sportethik und Integrität, welches 14 Doktoranden*innen von 2023-2027 die Möglichkeit einer umfassenden und interdisziplinären Ausbildung in einem renommierten internationalen Netzwerk bietet. Neben der JGU gehören die KU Leuven (Belgien), die Norwegian School of Sport Sciences (Norwegen), die Swansea University (Wales) und Universität Lausanne (Schweiz) zu den fünf Universitäten, die das universitäre Netzwerk bilden.
Darüber hinaus gehören auch 7 führende internationale Sportverbände, Sportorganisationen und Nichtregierungsorganisationen zum interdisziplinären Netzwerk: Das Internationale Olympische Komitee (IOC), der Internationale Fußballverband (FIFA), die Union der Europäischen Fußballverbände (UEFA), das Büro der Vereinten Nationen für Drogen- und Verbrechensbekämpfung (UNODC), die Welt Anti-Doping Agentur (WADA), die Organisation der Vereinten Nationen für Erziehung, Wissenschaft und Kultur (UNESCO), die Internationale Biathlon-Union (IBU) sowie das Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU).
Die angesprochenen Promotionsstellen könnten auch für aktuell immatrikulierte Studierende interessant sein, die nach ihrem Masterabschluss die akademische Laufbahn fortsetzen möchten und eine Promotion anstreben.
Die Finanzierung erfolgt durch das MSCA-Doktoranden-Netzwerk der Europäischen Union (3,1 Millionen Euro) und das Schweizer Staatssekretariat für Bildung, Forschung und Innovation (SBFI) (910.000 Euro). Die Förderung folgt auf die erfolgreichen Förderungen für das weltweit erste Masterprogramm in Sportethik und Integrität namens MAiSI (Mehr Infos zum MAiSI-Studiengang finden Sie hier).

Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz (JGU) is proud to be part of the interdisciplinary network of the Doctoral Program in Sports Ethics and Integrity (DAiSI), which is composed of five prestigious universities and internationally leading sports organizations and associations. The PhD program, funded with 4 million euros, will offer 14 PhD students* from 2023-2027 the opportunity of a comprehensive and interdisciplinary education in a renowned international network. The application process starts on August 18.
The research areas of the 14 doctoral theses are just as diverse as the partners of the doctoral program (see appendix). These include doping, match fixing, corruption, privacy, sexual harassment and abuse include fraud, doping, match fixing, privacy, reputation and integrity management.
DAiSI is a PhD program in Sports Ethics and Integrity that offers 14 PhD students* from 2023-2027 the opportunity for a comprehensive and interdisciplinary education in a renowned international network. In addition to JGU, KU Leuven (Belgium), Norwegian School of Sport Sciences (Norway), Swansea University (Wales) and University of Lausanne (Switzerland) are among the five universities that make up the university network.

Funding is provided by the European Union MSCA Doctoral Network (€3.1 million) and the Swiss State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SERI) (€910,000). The funding follows successful grants for the world's first master's program in sports ethics and integrity called MAiSI (More info on the MAiSI program can be found here).
