Am vergangenen Wochenende besuchte Professor Holger Preuß die Universität in Poznań. Er hielt einen öffentlichen Vortrag über die Legacy Olympischer Spiele und der FIFA Fußball WM 2022 für die lokale und internationale Gemeinschaft. Der Vortrag endete mit einer interessanten Diskussion, an der auch Vertreter der Wirtschaftsuniversität Poznań und der Sportabteilung des Rathauses von Poznań teilnahmen.
Professor Preuß besuchte neben der Universität auch die Stadt. Professor Preuß, als ehemaliges Boardmember der European Association for Sport Management, einer Vereinigung, die jedes Jahr eine international angesehene wissenschaftliche Konferenz über Sportmanagement in Europa organisiert, merkte an, dass Poznań zusammen mit der Universität ein geeignete Kandidaten für die Bewerbung einer solchen Konferenz im Jahr 2026 sein könnten. Der Besuch hat die bisher noch wenig ausgebildete Beziehung des Sportinstituts der JGU zu Universitäten in Polen gestärkt.

Last weekend, Professor Holger Preuß visited the University in Poznań. He gave a public lecture on the legacy of the Olympic Games and the 2022 FIFA World Cup for the local and international community. The lecture ended with an interesting discussion, which was also attended by representatives of the Poznań University of Economics and the sports department of the Poznań City Hall.
Professor Preuß visited the city as well as the university. Professor Preuß, as a former board member of the European Association for Sport Management, an association that organises an internationally renowned scientific conference on sport management in Europe every year, noted that Poznań, together with the University, could be a suitable candidate to bid for such a conference in 2026. The visit has strengthened the relationship between JGU's Institute of Sport and universities in Poland, which has been little developed so far.
