Vom 17. - 18. November 2022 nahmen Studierende des Studiengangs M.Sc. „Internationales Sportmanagement“ und M.A. „Sports Ethics and Integrity“ zusammen mit Prof. Holger Preuß und Mathias Schubert an der Konferenz „Good Governance and Law in Sport“ in Luxemburg teil.

Good Governance and Law in Sport“ Konferenz.

From November 17-18, 2022, students of the M.Sc. program "International Sport Management" and M.A. program "Sports Ethics and Integrity" together with Prof. Holger Preuß and Mathias Schubert participated in the conference "Good Governance and Law in Sport" in Luxembourg. The two-day conference was characterized by the exchange on current issues, challenges and developments in the field of global sports between a wide range of stakeholders, such as experts, lawyers, international students, lecturers, executives and academics.
In addition to exciting expert presentations around the topics of digitalization & data, good governance & ethical leadership, financial planning as well as media management of athletes, a practical part was also included in the program. Participants were introduced to the "Sport Good Governance Game (SG3)", which aims to identify dangers within a project or organization and combat them by applying good and ethical leadership. After the "SG3 Game" was played through in small groups and each person had to take on a randomly assigned leadership role within the game, each of which had to achieve an individual goal, conspicuous features and findings of the game were discussed with regard to the aspects of "Good Governance & Ethical Leadership". Subsequently, the participants were taught in a workshop how to become a "Game Leader" of the "SG3 Game" themselves in order to be able to disseminate and apply the gained insights and skills on ethical and good leadership within their organization, if necessary. The conference was also characterized by contents such as the "Networking Coffee-Break", the "Networking Lunch" and the "Networking Cocktail", within which it was possible to network and exchange with the other participants and speakers.
We would like to thank the International University of Health, Exercise & Sports (LUNEX) for the educational conference and the Department of Sport Economics/Management, Sociology of Sport and History of Sport for organizing and providing the opportunity to participate in the "Good Governance and Law in Sport" conference.
