Vom 10. bis 15. November besuchten Prof. Dr. Holger Preuß und unsere Doktoranden Lina-Doreen Rose, Rolf Hufft, Yannick Rinker und Kim Schu, sowie Katrin Utzinger vom Abteilungssekretariat den "21st international Science Congress", den größten sportwissenschaftlichen Kongress der Türkei. Dieser fand im Amara Premier Palace Hotel in der Nähe von Antalya statt. Parallel zum Konferenzprogramm organisierte Prof. Preuß ein Doktorandenseminar, in welchem Doktoranden aus aller Welt teilnehmen konnten.
Die Teilnehmenden, welche vor allem aus Deutschland, der Türkei und dem Iran stammten, erhielten dabei ein umfangreiches Lehr- und Lernangebot in Form von Vorträgen, Workshops und Gruppenarbeiten. Außerdem hatte jede*r Teilnehmende die Möglichkeit, sein eigenes Forschungsthema vorzustellen und sich darüber auszutauschen. Dabei wurden sogar Kooperationen für zukünftige Forschungsarbeiten geknüpft. Darüber hinaus nahmen unsere Doktoranden auch am offiziellen Programm des sportwissenschaftlichen Kongresses teil und präsentierten dort folgende Beiträge:
- Rolf Hufft: "Master of Arts in "Innovative Coaching in High Performance Sports"
- Kim Schu: "Strategy development in times of crisis - How the European national Olympic Committees are mastering the corona crisis"
- Lina-Doreen Rose: "Women's Football in Australia and Germany - A perspective of its fans"
- Yannick Rinker: "Ecological impact of Visitors at Major Sport Events"
Prof. Dr. Holger Preuß hatte das Privileg, eine Keynote zum Thema "The future of sports" zu halten. Im großen Konferenzsaal präsentierte er dabei Szenarien, die Zukunft des Sports zu prognostizieren.
Alle Teilnehmenden möchten sich ausdrücklich bei Herrn Prof. Dr. Preuß, sowie dem Kongress-Präsidenten Dr. İbrahİm Yildiran und der Kongress-Generalsekretärin Dr. Tuba Melekoglu bedanken.
Die Stimmen unserer Doktoranden:
Lina-Doreen Rose: „Das Doktorandenseminar und die Zusammenarbeit mit den Doktoranden aus der Türkei und dem Iran hat verdeutlicht, dass durch interkulturellen Austausch über eine bestimmte Thematik oder ein explizites Szenario verschiedene Perspektiven in eine Diskussion eingebracht werden, wodurch ein hoher Mehrwert entsteht, der anderweitig nicht zustande gekommen wäre.“
Kim Schu: „Der Ausflug nach Antalya hat mich persönlich sehr weitergebracht. Ich konnte wertvolle methodische, aber auch interkulturelle Kompetenzen erlernen und sogar eine Forschungskooperation mit einer türkischen Wissenschaftlerin abschließen. Ich kann es kaum erwarten, nächstes Jahr wieder teilzunehmen."
Yannick Rinker: „Der Besuch des Kongresses hat mich persönlich, aber auch unser Team weitergebracht. Ich konnte sowohl wertvollen neuen Input zu meiner Forschung erlangen und andere kulturelle Sichtweisen erleben als auch meine Kolleg*innen näher kennenlernen. Ich würde mich freuen, nächstes Jahr wieder dabei sein zu dürfen.“

From November 10 to 15, Prof. Dr. Holger Preuß and our doctoral students Lina-Doreen Rose, Rolf Hufft, Yannick Rinker and Kim Schu, as well as Katrin Utzinger from the department secretariat, visited the "21st international Science Congress", the largest sports science congress in Türkiye. It took place at the Amara Premier Palace Hotel near Antalya. Parallel to the conference programme, Prof. Preuß organized a doctoral seminar in which PhD students from all over the world were able to participate.
The participants, who mainly came from Germany, Türkiye and Iran, received a comprehensive range of teaching and learning opportunities in the form of lectures, workshops and group work. Each participant also had the opportunity to present and discuss their own research topic. Furthermore, collaborations were formed for future research work. Finally, our doctoral students also took part in the official program of the sports science congress and presented the following papers:

Prof. Dr. Holger Preuß also had the privilege of giving a keynote speech on "The future of sports". In the large conference hall, he presented scenarios for forecasting the future of sport.

Lina-Doreen Rose: "The doctoral seminar and the collaboration with the doctoral students from Türkiye and Iran made it clear that intercultural exchange on a specific topic or an explicit scenario brings different perspectives into a discussion, resulting in a high added value that would not have been achieved otherwise."
Kim Schu: "The trip to Antalya really helped me personally. I was able to learn valuable methodological and intercultural skills and even conclude a research collaboration with a Turkish academic. I can hardly wait to take part again next year."
Yannick Rinker: "Attending the congress not only helped me personally, but also our team. I was able to gain valuable new input for my research, experience other cultural perspectives and get to know my colleagues better. I would be delighted to attend again next year."
