Prof. Dr. Preuß and Dr. Norbert Schütte attended the final RINGS meeting in Brussels in early December. The RINGS project (RINGS = Road towards innovative governance of NOCs and Grass Roots Sport Organizations) is an EU-funded project that aims to help National Olympic Committees to introduce strategic management or to expand the existing one. It is coordinated by the EU Office of the National Olympic Committees in Brussels. The scientific cooperation partner is a team consisting of Prof. Dr. Preuß, Prof. Dr. Schallhorn and Dr. Norbert Schütte from the Johannes Gutenberg - University Mainz.
The final Conference last week marked the end of the RINGS Project on strategic management of sport organisations.
We proudly present the result of the project:
- The Handbook on Strategic Management of National Olympic Committees written by Holger Preuss and his team of the Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz
- The Public Affairs Guidelines developed by Poul Broberg and NOC Denmark giving sport organisations the keys to navigate through public affairs and relations
- The Stakeholders Tool for sport organisations to understand their ecosystem with adapted actions list to approach each stakeholder strategically, developed by Symantra
